In 1571, Oda Nobunaga donated funds toward rebuilding the shrine hall at Takakura Musubi Jinja, a prestigious Myojin Taisha shrine listed in the Engishiki and an outer sub-shrine of Atsuta Jingu enshrining Takakuraji-no-Mikoto, ancestor deity of the Owari clan. His support is said to have helped revive worship in the war-torn Atsuta area of the late Sengoku period.

Takakura Musubi Shrine in Atsuta Ward, Nagoya, is an outer sub-shrine of Atsuta Jingu. Its Takakura Inari shrine is also known as "Taiko Shusse Inari," as tradition holds that Hideyoshi's mother, Naka, brought the young Hideyoshi there to pray for his success. In keeping with this legend, worshippers still visit today seeking career advancement and good fortune.
