Overview
Ryufukuji is a Soto Zen temple founded by Mori Takamoto to pray for the repose of Ouchi Yoshitaka, the last head of the Ouchi clan who died in 1551 during the rebellion of Sue Harukata. Its Muromachi-era main hall is an Important Cultural Property, and the tomb of Yoshitaka stands on the grounds.
