A 24-meter white-robed Kannon statue erected in 1955 to pray for the souls of World War II dead and all war victims, and to wish for world peace. The concrete Kannon is a landmark visible from around Kodaiji temple. Visitors can enter the statue (tainai-meguri) to view Buddhist relics and the Twelve Divine Generals. Adjacent to Kodaiji and Entokuin in the Higashiyama cultural zone.
