A shrine dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, founded in 1879 by imperial decree of Emperor Meiji. Relocated to its current site within Osaka Castle in 1961, it also enshrines Hideyori and Hidenaga, honoring the three pillars of the Toyotomi clan. Origins
Founded on Nakanoshima in 1879 by imperial command of Emperor Meiji to enshrine Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Relocated to its current site within Osaka Castle in 1961. Hideyori and Hidenaga are also enshrined, making it a shrine to all three pillars of the Toyotomi clan.
