Matsunaga Yasuzaemon was born in 1865 on Iki Island.
Studying under Fukuzawa Yukichi, he devoted himself as a businessman to developing Japan's electric power industry.
Nicknamed the 'Electricity King,' he made an enormous contribution to Japan's modernization.
