概要
Tabata Hachiman Shrine was reputedly founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo in 1189 as a prayer for victory against the Oshu Fujiwara clan. It later became the guardian shrine of a famous Meiji-Taisho literary community that included Akutagawa Ryunosuke.
由緒
An ancient shrine said to have been founded in 1189 (Bunji 5) when Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for victory in his campaign against the Oshu Fujiwara. In the Taisho era it was cherished as the guardian of the 'Tabata Bunjin-mura,' home to writers including Akutagawa Ryunosuke.
