A Tendai temple founded during the Keicho era (1596–1615). Chomeiji Temple Summer Fair
Chomeiji Temple in Mukojima is famous as the birthplace of sakuramochi (cherry blossom rice cake). During summer fairs, stalls line the grounds, where visitors enjoy the pleasant riverside atmosphere. During the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, many fireworks viewers also pass through.
