Ruins of the castle in Saika-sho, the stronghold of the Saika ikki. Feared during the Sengoku period as the base of the gun corps led by Saika Magoichi. During Hideyoshi's conquest of Kishu, the Ota Castle here was subjected to a devastating water siege.
