Overview
A Tenmangu shrine in the heart of Umeda, Osaka, popularly known as 'Ohatsu Tenjin.' It is famous as the setting of Chikamatsu Monzaemon's bunraku play 'Sonezaki Shinju' and is today a beloved shrine for couples seeking blessings in love.
Origins
大宝元年(701年)頃の創建と伝わる古社。元禄16年(1703年)の曽根崎心中の舞台として知られ、縁結びの神として現代も多くの参拝者を集める。
