由緒
Founded in 1610 on land granted by Tokugawa Ieyasu. Tokugawa Mitsukuni donated a Yakushi Nyorai statue. The grave of Sugiyama Waichi is a designated Tokyo historic site. Served as a Honjo seminary in the Edo period. Destroyed in both the Great Kanto Earthquake and Tokyo Air Raids, rebuilt each time.
