Site of the Tokugawa shogunal rest and lodging complex built in 1608 by Tokugawa Hidetada on the Nakahara Kaido highway west of Kosugi Jinya. Rebuilt in 1640 on a 12,000-tsubo ground, it served four generations—Ieyasu, Hidetada, Iemitsu, and Ietsuna—as a waypoint between Edo and Sunpu and as a falconry lodge. Built 1608 by Tokugawa Hidetada, rebuilt 1640 at 12,000 tsubo. Used by Ieyasu, Hidetada, Iemitsu, and Ietsuna for Nakahara Kaido travel and falconry. Dismantled 1655 and 1672, relocated to Tokai-ji and Kobun-in. A stele now stands in Saimyoji.
