A shrine founded in 1869 by imperial command of Emperor Meiji on Mt. Funaoka, enshrining Oda Nobunaga. Nobunaga was the hero who ended the Ashikaga shogunate under the banner of "Tenka Fubu" (unification of the realm by force) and laid the foundations of early modern Japan. A stone monument recalls his fondness for the Kowakamai dance 'Atsumori' with the line 'Fifty years of human life...'. On the annual festival of October 19, matchlock musket demonstrations are held in his memory.
