Atago Jinja New Year's Eve Ceremony
New Year's Eve ceremony at Atago Jinja on top of Mt. Atago, the highest natural hill in Tokyo's 23 wards. Special prayers and sacred rites are held on the last day of the year. Visitors climb the steep "career-success steps" to welcome the turning of the year.
