Kasugayama Rinsenji is the Uesugi family temple and the burial site of Naoe Kanetsugu and his wife Osen no Kata. Relocated to Yonezawa when the Uesugi moved from Aizu, its grounds hold the tombs of successive Uesugi lords and senior retainers. Kanetsugu's grave stands together with that of his lord Kagekatsu, and the site continues to draw visitors as a place embodying the unbroken bond of loyalty between the two men.
