A Katori shrine in Owada-shinden, Yachiyo City, enshrining Futsunushi no Mikoto from the head Katori Jingu of Shimofusa Province. Founded in the early Edo period during new field reclamation, it was built by settlers praying for bountiful harvests and successful land development. Traditional kagura dances are dedicated at the annual festival.
Owada-shinden Katori Shrine is traditionally believed to have been founded in the early Edo period, around the Genna-Kan'ei era (circa 1615–1644), in conjunction with the reclamation of new agricultural land.
