Overview
An outdoor theme park in Sekigahara recreating the decisive Battle of 1600 through life-size statues of warriors from both the Eastern and Western armies, including Ieyasu and Mitsunari. Adjacent to the actual battlefield, visitors can trace the flow of the battle while walking among realistic figures. It is one of Gifu's most popular historical attractions for history enthusiasts.
Origins
The Battle of Sekigahara (1600, Keicho 5) was the decisive confrontation between the Eastern Army under Tokugawa Ieyasu and the Western Army led by Ishida Mitsunari.
