A castle built around 1580 by Oda Nobukane on the Ano-tsu Plain. After the Battle of Sekigahara, the renowned castle architect Todo Takatora became lord and from 1611 extensively rebuilt it into a modern fortress. Today the inner bailey, moats, and high stone walls remain as Oshiro Park, featuring a reconstructed three-tier Inui turret and a statue of Takatora.
