A Nichiren temple founded in 1345, relocated from Hongo Maruyama to Sugamo in the Edo period. Said to be the site where the Great Meireki Fire of 1657 started (though recent research disputes this). The graves of swordmaster Chiba Shusaku, successive Honinbo Go masters, and magistrate Toyama Kinshiro are found here.
