概要
A Wa-shu (Tendai-affiliated) temple in Reijin-cho, Tennoji Ward, one of the sub-temples of Shitennoji. Originally called Arisu-ji, it was transformed in 1640 when High Priest Enkai invited a Senju Kannon image from Kyoto's Kiyomizu-dera and built a stage-style main hall modeled after the famous Kyoto temple, renaming it Shin-Kiyomizu-dera (New Kiyomizu Temple).
