概要
Cemetery where 2,023 Satsuma Army soldiers killed in the 1877 Seinan War are buried, with Saigo Takamori's grave at center. Located on a Kagoshima hillside with views of Sakurajima. Key figures including Kirino Toshiaki rest alongside Saigo. The Nanshu Shrine within the grounds enshrines Saigo as a deity. A memorial service draws many visitors every September 24, the anniversary of his death.
