Overview
The chief guardian shrine of Hayama, founded by Yoritomo who invited a divided spirit from Mishima Taisha.
Origins
In 1180, Yoritomo prayed to Mishima Myojin for the revival of the Minamoto clan when raising his army. He later founded this shrine by inviting a divided spirit. Successive Kamakura shoguns worshipped here.
