A Jodo Shinshu Honganji temple in Kuki, enshrining Amida Nyorai, whose name Shoganji (Fulfilled Vow Temple) embodies the aspiration to respond to Amida's original vow through nembutsu. Founded in the Edo period as a Jodo faith base in the farming communities of Kuki, the quiet main hall and grounds continue to serve ancestral memorial rites and daily spiritual support for the community.
