概要
Kongorinji is one of the Three Mountains of East Omi, a Tendai temple said to have been founded in 741 by Gyoki under Emperor Shomu. Its main hall, a National Treasure of 1260, miraculously survived Nobunaga's burning. The 500-step approach is famed for blood-red autumn maples.
