A Nichiren temple in Kawaguchi City that has spread the teachings of the Lotus Sutra through the region. The name Myokoji means 'temple of wonderful light,' embodying the brilliance of Nichiren's teaching. Craftsmen and merchants of the Edo-period ironworking town embraced Hokke faith, and this temple served as their spiritual center.
