Kanjizaioin Site, part of the Hiraizumi World Heritage, is the ruin of a temple built by the wife of Fujiwara no Motohira. Beside Motsuji, the Pure Land garden centered on Maizuru Pond preserves the foundations of two amida halls. Designated a Special National Historic Site.
