概要
An ancient shrine in Nishi Ward, Yokohama, tracing its origins to a sandbank that once jutted into Yokohama Bay before land reclamation. Sailors and fishermen revered it as a guardian of safe navigation. It enshrines Yamato Takeru-no-Mikoto, the heroic prince of Japanese mythology, and retains its historic character amid the modern city.
