概要
A shrine listed in the Engishiki, enshrining Oyamatsumi Okami, Takaokami no Kami, and Oikazuchi no Kami on Mt. Oyama in Isehara. Revered since antiquity as a rain deity, the name 'Afuri' derives from 'rain-bringing.' During the Edo period Oyama-ko pilgrimage associations flourished and hundreds of thousands visited annually. A cable car operates to the lower shrine today.
