概要
Head temple of Jodo Shinshu Otani-ha, separated from Nishi Honganji by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1602. The Miei-do (Founder\'s Hall) is one of the largest wooden structures in the world, forming a magnificent complex together with the Amida-do. The \'hair ropes\' woven from the locks donated by female parishioners during construction are still preserved today.
