Overview
Suitengu Shrine in hillside Aioi-cho, Otaru, founded 1859, offers expansive views over the city and Ishikari Bay. Poet Ishikawa Takuboku visited during his days as a journalist, composing verses here. Especially beautiful at sunset, it is also revered for safe childbirth.

Suitengu Shrine was founded in 1859 (the 6th year of the Ansei era) on a hillside in Aioi-cho, Otaru, Hokkaido.
