Yu-taki Falls cascading from Lake Yunoko in Oku-Nikko is a magnificent waterfall approximately 70m high and 25m wide.
Counted as one of Oku-Nikko's three famous waterfalls alongside Kegon and Ryuzu Falls.

Yu-taki Falls and Lake Yunoko are natural formations created by Mitsudake volcanic activity approximately 10,000 years ago.
The entire Oku-Nikko area became a mountain worship sacred site after Shodo Shonin opened Nikko in 782.
Yumoto Onsen is said to have been discovered by Shodo Shonin in 782.
