A Nichiren-sect temple founded in 1619 by Hosenin Nichiei (d. 1634) as Shogakuji, mountain-named Jissozan. Its patron was **Misawa Hatsuko**, mother of the fourth Sendai lord Date Tsunamura and the historical model for Masaoka in the Kabuki play Meiboku Sendai Hagi. Nichiren-sect temple founded 1619 by Hosenin Nichiei. Patron was Misawa Hatsuko of the Sendai Date family, historical model of Masaoka in Meiboku Sendai Hagi. Enshrines a Nichiren image venerated by shogun Ienari. Misawa Hatsuko"s grave is a Tokyo Metropolitan Cultural Property.
