Nachi Falls is Japan's tallest single-drop waterfall at 133 meters, one of the country's three greatest falls. Cascading from the Nachi Primeval Forest, a Natural Monument, it has been worshipped as a deity since ancient times and serves as the sacred body of Kumano Nachi Taisha. It forms the heart of the World Heritage Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes of the Kii Mountain Range.
