It is the central hall of Eihoji, founded in 1313 (Showa 2) by Muso Soseki, and beneath its floor spans a gracefully arched bridge called "Musai Bridge," whose reflection in the garden pond is celebrated as a breathtaking view. Along with the scenic garden landscaped by Muso Soseki, this ancient temple, which holds both National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties representative of Gifu prefecture, welcomes many visitors.
