Overview
A scenic spot of arcing white sand beach and black pine groves spread along the mouth of Urado Bay in southern Kochi City. Known since ancient times as a celebrated place for moon viewing, immortalized in the folk song Yosakoi Bushi, a bronze statue of Sakamoto Ryoma was erected here in 1928 (Showa 3), gazing out over the Pacific Ocean.
