概要
A Hachiman shrine in Omigawa, Katori, enshrining Emperor Ojin, serving as the chief guardian of Omigawa. Founded when Hachiman faith spread as the tutelary deity of the Minamoto clan in the Kamakura period. Patronized by Omigawa Castle lords, it flourished as guardian of the castle town. The July Gion Festival with dashi floats parading the town is the largest celebration in eastern Katori.
