The ruins of Kariya Castle, located in Kijo Park in the Shirocho district of Kariya city. The castle was built in 1533 (Tenbun 2) by Mizuno Tadamasa and is also known by the name "Kijo" (Turtle Castle), said to derive from its turtle-shaped topography.
