Aomori Nebuta Matsuri
The iconic summer festival of Aomori, one of the three great Tohoku festivals. Giant illuminated float sculptures called "nebuta" parade through the streets at night, while dancers called "haneto" jump and shout "Rassera!" Over 2 million visitors attend annually.
