A shrine to Konohanasakuya-hime founded in 1603, preserving a fujizuka mound for symbolic Fuji pilgrimage — the center of Sengen faith for Hiratsuka devotees of the Edo period.
A shrine dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime, enshrining the spirit of Mount Fuji. Its artificial sacred hill (fujizuka) allowed devotees of the Fuji faith to perform a symbolic pilgrimage within Hiratsuka.
Hiratsuka Sengen Jinja is traditionally said to have been founded in 1603 (the 8th year of the Keichō era).
