A Tenmangu shrine in Higashimatsuyama City, enshrining Sugawara no Michizane and known for blessings of exam success and academic achievement. During exam season the precinct fills with ema from students. Plum trees loved by Michizane bloom beautifully in early spring alongside the well-known Yakyu Inari and Shoboji of this city.
