The principal tutelary shrine of the Numama area of Zushi, long enshrined as the community guardian. The name Gorei derives from the five divine spirits worshipped together here. Situated in Numama, which has served as a key transportation point on the road to the Miura Peninsula since the Kamakura period, the shrine stands where warrior bands once passed.
