An ancient shrine in Sengen-cho, Fuchu-shi, said to have been founded during the Daido era (806–810) by enshrining Konohanasakuya-hime of Mt. Fuji. Enshrined on the Fuchu bluff, it was once a scenic spot overlooking the Tama River below. The place name Sengen-cho derives from this shrine. As a center of Mt.
