由緒
Founded in 1555 by Ii Tajima-no-kami Nagasuke, with Tokuyo Kozen from Chion-in as first abbot. The principal Amida statue (1243) with inscribed sutra scrolls inside is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Destroyed in the 1864 Kinmon Incident, rebuilt in 1879.
