Ganjojuin Temple
静岡県
Ganjojuin was founded in 1189 by Hojo Tokimasa to pray for victory in Minamoto no Yoritomo's Oshu campaign, serving as the Hojo clan temple. It preserves National Treasure statues by the sculptor Unkei, including Amida Nyorai, Fudo Myo-o, and Bishamonten, conveying the authority and faith of Tokimasa, the first shikken (regent), and the history of the Hojo base at Izu-Nirayama.
