The 31st head of the Ōuchi. He made Yamaguchi flourish as the "Western Capital" and granted Francis Xavier permission to preach. In the Daineiji Incident, the rebellion of Sue Harukata, he committed suicide at Daineiji in Nagato, effectively ending the great Ōuchi house.
