Head of the Miyoshi clan, provincial lords of Miyoshi District in Bingo Province, based at Hiebiyamajou Castle. In 1544, when the Amago clan's Shingu Party under Amago Kunihisa invaded and Mori reinforcements were defeated at the so-called "Funo Collapse," Munetaka personally led a mere 500 men in a surprise counterattack the following day, routing the overconfident Amago army back to Izumo. He appears to have retired by 1557; his year of death is not clearly recorded.
