生涯
Son of Kira Naritaka, lord of Setagaya Castle. He resided at both Setagaya and Maita Castles and was called "Lord of Setagaya" and "Lord of Maita." After Hojo Ujitsuna captured Edo Castle in 1524, he allied with the Later Hojo and married Ujitsuna's daughter. He died on January 10, 1562, and was buried at Shokokuji Temple in Maita.

A lord who leveraged the high status of his Ashikaga-branch lineage to secure marriage ties with the Later Hojo and preserve his domain.
Historical Significance
The Kira family retained a status high enough to be called the "Maita Gosho" (Maita Palace), holding Maita and Setagaya Castles until the fall of the Later Hojo in 1590.
