Eldest son of Yoritoki. After his father's death he continued the fight against Yoriyoshi and Yoshiie, finally falling at the Battle of Kuriyagawa. The famous waka exchange with the pursuing Yoshiie ("The seam of my robe has come undone…" / "Through the years the threads have tangled…") is preserved.
